I saw a previous thread about logging in to a windows 2003 network with a win 95 machine. The fixes did not work. I installed DC extensions from the windows 2000 server cd. I enable lm hash on the dc. On a dos level the computers can ping each other using ip addresses (including the win 95 machine).
Any other suggestions?

You did all of this?

DOS/Windows 95:
You may need to disable SMB sign in the domain. The methood can create security bridge, and is'nt supported.(YES - Done)
1. Configure each server in the domain to use local WINS server.
2. If you are using Windows 2000 or higher DHCP server, make sure that the DHCP can register old clients.(I believe I disabled DHCP in the server, since the router has DHCP, and I configured WINS server -- however I might not have done either of these correctly, since I am unfamiliar with this)
3. Review: KB 898060
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...(doesn't appear pertinent to my situation)
Note: Some articles recommend to disable SMB sign in the domain controller OU. Please avoid changing domain controllers policy, and specialy dont disable SMB sign.(I did this anyway, since nothing else has worked, but it didn't work for me.)
Note: Windows 98/ME clients have problem with computer names largers then eight characters. Please avoid using long computer names.(computer names are FS1 & PPC, so we are okay there)
