Hi guys, I have a problem of not being able to connect to a server and some times even workstations when I type \\IP ADDRESS or host name in the RUN window !. Some times I can connect via host name but not IP Address. I guessed there is something with the DNS, so I ran the DCDIAG /test:DNS command and I got some failures. I don't understand much of the result in fact. It shows some IP addresses for DNS servers that I don't have, what does that mean ? I don't understand what root hints mean ? What is root hints and how can it be harmful to my DNS server ?
