We have a small business network connecting to a server running Windows Server 2003 & Exchange Server 2003.
I can not set up Exchange Server to connect to the Exchange Server for only one user at only one workstation.
All logins are network logins at all workstations.
So, for example, if the user is JSMITH.
I can go to Workstation #1, login to the network as JSMITH and access the Exchange Server via Outlook. If I go to Workstation #2, login to the network as JSMITH I get an error saying Outlook could not access the Exchange Server.
Now, another user, JDOE can access access the Exchange Server via Outlook from both Workstation #1 & Workstation #2.
Any ideas on why a certain user could log on from one workstation and not another when all other users CAN connect from all workstations?
Thanks,
T

check the workstation's ip-configuration .. if the machine is set to dhcp, then do a repair for the heck of it.
if that doesn't work i'd disjoin the machine from the network and rejoin to see if that clear's it up.

The troubled user account...
Does it only have problems on a particular workstation or all workstations?
"Corn chips are no place for a mighty warrior!"

The problem is only on a particular workstation and only for that particular user on that particular machine; in other words, I can set up outlook for that same user on another workstation no probs at all! Also, I can set-up all other users on the problematic workstation with no problem.
It is just that one particular user on a one particular machine.

How many other computers have you tried this user account on?
At this point we have indications it could be either the user account that is problematic or the computer account for that one computer in question.

Hi
reccomend the following for troubleshooting purpose:
- release and renew ip setting to possibly static entry
- change local PC's hostname and reconnect to domain
- check or enable local admin rights
- check local PC policy
- delete/rename local profile to populate a new one.
