Comment:

I can have the computers join the domain but when I try to add domain accounts to the local computer or configure Outlook, I have problems.

Event ID 1053: Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. (The RPC server is unavailable. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

When I ping the domain, I get the external static IP of our domain, when I ping the DC/GCS by it's server name I get the external IP and not the internal IP address. What is keeping me from being able to contact the domain.

Thank you,

Leto the Just.

Check the Services running on the DC and make sure Remote Procedure Call is running. Restart it if you have to.

Also try resetting the computer account in the AD.

The DHCP service was handing out the wrong DNS server.
