I have a 2000 Network, and have added a 2003 Server into this domian. It is stand alone with no trust set up between 2000 and 2003 domains. Workstations that are logged onto the 2000 domain can browse to the 2003 server. I can ping the 2003 by IP address and by name. However when I try to take a workstation on the 2000 domain off the 2000 domain and make it a member of the 2003 doamin I get an error, "the network path is not found". What gives?

You are contradicting yourself. You are saying the server is stand alone, then you reference a 2003 domain. So, as you say, "What gives?" ARe you using a 2003 domain or not? Is the 2003 Server a DC? How do you have DNS set up?

I have a fully set up 2000 Domain with a 2000 Domain controller fully operational. ALl workstations on this domain operate under a 192 address. All worskstations work oK in this domain. I have now added a 2003 Domain controller into this network. I have given it a static 192 Ip address. All of the workstations that are memebrs of the 2000 domain can see this domain controller that I have put into this network. They can bowse to it, while logged onto the 2000 domian and I can ping the 2003 manchines IP. But if i disjoin the 2000 network and try to become part of the 2003 domain I can't do it. The 2003 machine has been DC promoed The 2003 Server is "stand Alone" in the senst that I do not want any trust set up between the 2000 doamin and the 2003 domain, they need to reamin Completely seperate. Why can't these workstations join the 2003 domain?
