Hi,
I have windows server 2003 running on a local server machine: 2 x 250GB HDD, 2GB RAM. Every second or third time that I shut down the server, it does not turn back on. I have formatted it atleast 4 times - each time after it does not boot following a shutdown. Can anyone explain to me what the problem could be? Why doesn't Windows 2003 boot after shutting down more than two- three times?

Try checking your Event Viewer log files. And are you shutting it down, or is it crashing and shutting down? Are you sure you don't have a piece of hardware going bad...??
And what do you mean it doesn't boot? What DOES it do?
