Hi Guys
I have a bit of a custom RIS setup whereby I use PXELinux to give me a boot menu with a couple of options, including just dumping back into the normal RIS installer.Basically what I want to do is to automate the RIS process a bit more so that Ican skip the first chunk of the RIS setup where I, or the users have to
*enter a username/pass
*Select which OS they want to install (I generally have 2 sif files - one that automatically partitions and one that doesnt)
*hit enter a couple of timesSo basically what I want is for either myself or a user to go into my boot menu, choose the "RIS" option (usually named something a bit better and measures put into place to ensure it cant be hit by accident) and for the PC to rebuild without any more questions asked (unless I want it to ask me for partitioning etc)
Is there a way I could do this and still have it automatically generate the computer name etc like usual? Maybe like an answer file?
Basically my menu system replaces the standard 'startrom.com' (which is the first part of the RIS setup) allowing the standard RIS TFTP server and dns settings to work and will call 'startrom.n12' (the same as startrom.com but doesnt ask to press F12 to enter RIS setup) when the RIS option is chosen in the menu.
If I could somehow throw the startrom.n12 file the username, password and SIF file so that it skips those steps and just builds that would be great.
Does anyone know anything about this??
Thanks in advance
