I need to set-up our server so that if a user leaves his work station logged on to the server on our local network, the system will automatically log him out and require re-authentication after a set period of inactivity.
I don't want his programs or processes to be shut down, only his accoutn to be locked.
I keep searching Microsoft.com and find NOTHING!!!

If there is a forced logoff, the programs/processes will indeed be closed/stopped. consultor is right. set a password to kick on after 15 minutes or so, and require a password to unlock it.
