Hope someone can help me understand this.

I am trying to track every time a file is accessed on the network shares on a Windows 2k3 Server and the only option that appears to have this information is the Auditing using Audit Object Access, but I am not getting relevant information. Is this not the correct way to determine this?

Thanks for any info on any solutions that may help me figure out how to do this.

Thanks for the help,

Jon

First you need to enable auditing of object access and configure individualy every folder ypu want to audit access to be audited. You can do that on the advanced portion of the security tab, auditing. Then you should enter a user or group for witch you want do audit obejct access
