Hi guys, Im having a slight problem with users getting extremely slow response time from apps running from the server. Example: There is an accounting package that is installed on a Win2k3 Dell S4000 Brand new server with 512 Ram running Dell out of the box win2k3 small business server. And when users trying to bring up screens for various AP or AR screens for the package it takes literally 30 seconds for the app to come up or to browse to other sections of the programs modules. I thought it could be this specific app but it is doing it in all apps that run from the server. When all these stations were just work grouped it would open said app in like 2 seconds. Now I have all there DNS pointing to the server IP, they can browse on the internet just fine and when I check the report monitoring screen everything seems to be running fine. How can I trace where the bottle neck is at? Also all clients are on XP pro with a minimum 256 MB of ram. PS: I have searched through the archives for similar problems on this site, to no avail. Seems like a few people have had this same problem but not many responses on the cause? thx, Mac
