I am using Norton ANtiVirus Corporate Edition 7.6, but I believe any CORPORATE EDITION will work. Other types of editions will NOT work.

I have ServerProtect by TrendMicro. I am looking into a Norton product that will work with W2k3 Server. ServerProtect is good, but it depends on what you're using it for. If you want it for a File Server, then it's good, if you're running W2k3 as a Desktop OS then it might not be for you.

Yes please Old Gezur, please tell us how you did that

I could install Norton Corporate 7.6 and I overwrote the Live update utility with the norton antivirus 2003 installation cd. The advantage is that you can set it to automatic mode and place a shortcut in your startup menu, to get live update running unattended upon each startup

A program called TweekNT
converts a server os to a workstation and
fools the norton setup into thinking that it is win xp pro then run tweeknt again to convert it back to a server os and reboot and norton runs great.
I run this on a test computer but I have not had any problems.

i will try with norton 2003 retial, maby that will fix it, because i heard people use NAV 2003 with tweaknt without a hitch.

I installed Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition v7.51, and it works fine...BUT before you install it, you must replace the sevinst.exe file with the one at this address (on Symantec site) then you can run the install without a problem.

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/symevnt/sevinst.exe

Jesus, why are you people screwing with a server O/S with that tweak nt garbage? Doesn't need it at all, and it seriously compromises the security and stabilty of the system.

As for the original question, Either use NAV 7.6 Corporate (or higher) - That's what I am using now, or if you don't want to spend the money on it, Grisoft has a free Scanner that works perfectly with 2k3 (even as a Domain Controller or Terminal Server). The Program is called AVG antivirus, and is available at www.grisoft.com
