Another Dynamic DNS?

Comment:
Does anyone use a UNIX machine as the DNS server and does not do dynamic DNS update?
We've got a UNIX box acting as the DNS server and we don't allow dynamic.
Question: Durring DNS registration diagnostic, when running DCPROMO, I would get an error message about:
"The Primary DNS server tested was: UNIXBOX.CORP.COM (xxx.xxx.xxx.xx). The zone was: MyDomain.CORP.COM. The test for dynamic DNS update support returned: "DNS bad key." (error code: 0x00002339RCODE_BADKEY)"

I read somewhere that I needed to disable DDNS registration on the DC side - is this true?

Microsoft wants it own dns server. its intergrated into everything with AD. You forward to your unix dns by inputting your unix servers ip address in the forwarders tab.
Spend some time on MS's technet and lookup dns server for more enlightenment.
