i had MOHAA icon pinned on my start menu. i renamed MOHAA original folder. and when i clicked on icon in start menu, it gave me the option to Browse to the new renamed MOHAA folder. i browsed and set the target to the MOHAA.exe. now every thing went topsyturvy. Every program (exe file) i try to open, opens MOHAA.exe. even REGEDIT.exe opens MOHAA.exe. how am i supposed to fix it. one thing, when i log in with different user, every thing is working fine. but i want to fix the issue with my previous user.

You had to have done more than that or you are malware/spyware infected. File assocation was changed.

Change the program that opens a type of file

If you double-click a file in Windows and it opens in the wrong software program, follow these steps to choose the program you would prefer that file use. You can change this setting for an individual file, or you can tell Windows to open all files of that same type in the software program you choose.

Open the folder that contains the file you want to change.

Right-click the file that you want to change, and then, depending on the type of file, either click Open With or point to Open With and then click Choose Default Program.

Click the program that you want to use to open this file.

Do one of the following:

If you want all files of that type to open in the same software program, select the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file check box, and then click OK.

If you want only that file to open in the software program this one time, clear the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file check box, and then click OK.

i knew that, but to worsen the problem, Open With option in context menu is disabled. also, this cud not work as programs themselves r effected. e.g if a word or text file association is changed u can correct it by opening it with the appropriate program by the method u mentioned abv. but in my case, wen i open MS Word, it opens MOHAA !!!! Open-with can not work here. as open-with open the files in that program, and in my scenario when any program executes, it runs MOHAA.
i hope u understand wot i mean.

BTW, i found the solution, i had to edit the registry. after opening command promp (double clicking Command.com in widows\system32 folder) just search Mohaa and delete the first entry returned. it fixes everything. but b sure to take a backup of registry by exporting this key.
