I am having a small problem with a new DNS server that I have added to the network, which I am installing Exchange on. I am unable to find a solution to the problem and require some guidance.
There is no information in the Logs to indicate that anything is wrong with the DNS servers, merely a log entry in AD that says that the Primary AD was not able to replicate on the Secondary AD because the DNS was unable to resolve itself.
Running DNS Diagnosis revealed the following issue.

I had an issue with DNS/Exchange on my SBS2003 server. The server would not replicate data to other servers and mail services such as pop3 would not restart upon reboot. Turns out that the server had its own IP address as its primary DNS server under network connections and that was causing all my problems. Something about Exchange and DNS on the same box.
Make sure that the DNS for that box points to another DNS server.
Hope it helps,
Philip
