Hi,
By default Win 2003 enables the options for complex paswords like min length, type of characters etc. You have to change the default security policies to allow weaker paswords.
Hope this helps.

Hi, this may be a little late now, but here goes. On the W2003 server, go to start>Admin Tools>Active Directory Users and Groups>Right click on your domain>properties>Group Policy. Under Computer Configuration, click Windows settings>Security settings>account policy and then click on Password Policy. In the right hand pane you will see Password Must Meet Complexity Requirement. Double click and make any adjustments. Good Luck ChrisE
