Comment:

i have a corrupted active directory, and am trying to acces the directory services restore mode, however while the system is 'applying system settings' it locks up and i have to power down manually. i have let the system sit for 30 minutes hoping it was just lagging, but after that the mouse and keyboard stopped responding as well. any suggestions?
