i have created an image file of one partition- put it on another partition, same computer (drive image pro)
everything went smoothly
except now that im back in windows, trying to move it off that comp, onto a storage server, whenever i try to copy it, it says: cannot copy "filename", access is denied. make sure the disk is not full or write protected.
neither partition is full or write protected.
ive scanned for virus and spyware- none.
the disk is not read only- shouldnt matter anyway.
i have admin rights to the machine.
ive completely deleted that image and tried again- same exact situation.
ive tried to do it in safe mode- same error.
what is the next step?
thank you all much for your input.

Hi
Make sure you have admi rights to each folder if so from a command prompt, navigate to the drive where the folder is ie d:\ and type "attrib -r" (without the quotes) and press enter this removes the read only permissions which happens when moving files.
