I have a small business.I just got 5 static ip addresses. I haven't run the servers. They have been sitting on a rack the last 3 years. I connected it to my existing Cable service. I tried to update my OS through the Windows auto update. Then I got a message saying my C: drive is running out of space. I have 2 drives. They are both NTFS. Disk 0 is 9.1 GB. This is where the C: drive is. Disk 1 is 36.4 GB.What are my options in order to correct the out of space message that I got? Checking the space availability on the C: drive; I see only 575 MB space left. I really haven't done much to this server to run out of space. Is there a way of using the other 36.4 GB disk to become part of the C: drive to increase its space? I have no experience in this. I need help.

You could try cleaning up your C: drive but the simple truth is, a 9.1 GB drive is too small. I highly recommend reinstalling on the larger drive and totally removing the little one from the box.

What's a good size to replace it with? Or better still-can I use the existing 36.4 GB that's in the box and what's the easiest way of doing this? Thanks.

These days you'd be hard put to find anything smaller than 250 GB's. So I would go with something that size or larger depending on what you have for a budget.

Once you have the new disk, if it were me, I'd use something like norton ghost to make an image of the existing 9.1 GB drive. Then I would remove the old drive and put it aside (but keep it handy in case you have problems porting the image over to the new drive) and connect the new one. Once you have that done, you could then place the image on the new drive, using the switch that tells it to expand to the full size of the disk.

After doing that, you would probably have to run a repair of the OS to ensure it's aware of the new disk and can access it properly. Remember, if you change the drive and don't do a Repair, windows will still be looking for the old HDD and you'll have issues.

Alternatively, you could try doing a cleanup of the old disk to free space and then move the pagefile over to the secondary drive.
