OS: 2003 Server
CPU/Ram: PIII and P4
Comment:

I have 2 Active Directory DC's that reboot on me intermitantly. Both are 1U intel servers, one is has SCB2 intel Motherboard the other has a intel S845WD1-E, PIII and P4 processors. The probem is they crash with the following error:
-----------------
Event ID: 1074
User: NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Description:
The process winlogon.exe has initiated the restart of computer COE2 on behalf of user for the following reason: No title for this reason could be found
Reason Code: 0x50006
Shutdown Type: restart
Comment: The system process 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code -1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart.
--------------

I can't find anything relating to this for 2003 server OS. I seen some clipings about sasser worm virus relating to XP and making sure 2000 OS is at service pack 2 or above, but noghing for 2003 server. My 2003 servers are fully patched and have the latest virus software. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

thanks
Ken

Oh !..u had to update ur server with all the critical updates while u running the windows updates. Or search the windows knowledgebase for the removal instruction by applying the specific patch. try running virus removal tools for sassar & blaster virms from symantec or stinger from mcafee.

best of luck
