2003 server domain(xyz.local) behind cisco router and VPN, i have a tunnel to a remote site(That works) A remote site(2003server) that I want to join the domain does not see the DC when I try. DNS configuration or static routing? remember the Cisco equation Thanks

Almost certainly a DNS issue if it can't find the server but the router is a possible cause. What do you have for DNS settings on the computer that you are trying to join to the domain. It will have to be able to contact a DNS server to find the DC.
