ZoneAlarm blocks Win2k

I think you should mentally separate accessing the internet from networking the two computers and sort these issues individually.

I assume you're on broadband, connecting the XP machine to the net via one of the NICs. Usually this NIC should not have an IP address as it will be dynamically assigned. So take out any IP address and see if you can access the internet on the XP machine with the Internet Zone set to high - you should be able to.

For the two PCs to be able to see each other, they must both have an IP address and those addresses must be added to the trusted zone (in Zone Alarm) of the opposite PC. This zone should be set to medium.

For the second machine to be able to see the internet you will also have to enable Internet Connection Sharing on the XP machine.

Try this out and let us know how you get on.
