When I installed Yahoo! Toolbar 5.6, it gave me an option to install the Yahoo! Messenger Explorer Bar, which basically integrates with my Yahoo! Toolbar to allow me instant access to my Messenger. Unfortunately, I don't use Messenger much. The Explorer toolbar is about 22 MB, which is fairly large (although I think that Add/Remove programs is reporting size incorrectly; it said that my ArcSoft Camera Suite is 2.68 megabytes, when, in fact, it was 157 megabytes). I have tried uninstalling Yahoo! Toolbar, but the Explorer bar still remains! I have tried many times to highlight it, click Add/Remove, but nothing happens! Yahoo! does not have any helpful suggestions on their site. Please give me some feedback ASAP.

Yes - I suggest going to google and searching for Remove Yahoo Toolbar. I got 2,660,000 pages in .12 seconds, the first of which was Microshaft's resolution for your exact problem
Google is your friend. Google is your friend. Google is your friend.

You can disable that being shown by selecting that option in your browser. Depending on which browser...View, Toolbars, or View, Show/Hide.. Then just uncheck the ones you don't want to view.

Thank you for your help! I have uninstalled Yahoo! Toolbar 6.2, and it uninstalled the Messenger button as well! However, I like the Yahoo! Toolbar because it lets me search from any site. Unfortunately, Yahoo! Toolbar 6.2 includes a lot of extras that I do not use. Yahoo! only lets me download version 6.2 on their site. Does anyone know where I can download Yahoo! Toolbar 5.6?

Never mind. I found the installer for Yahoo! Messenger 6.0, which included the Yahoo! Companion 5.5. I installed it, and now everything is working perfectly. Thank you for all your help!
