wont shutdown

I have a 800MHZ AMD athlon. At 128Ram Asus motherboard...

Since i installed windows 2000 it wont shutdown. I press the button, it says windows is shutting down and i get a black screen with the blinking cursor.

I use to have the same problem and it was being caused by unsigned software drivers.
