setup:
-win 2k
-WMP9 (or 7.1)
-All possible codecs needed..

My WMP is messing with me..
When I play files that are on my hard drive, or that need to be downloaded to be able to play, everything is fine.

But when I try to play streaming media (ASF only, i think..), thats when everything goes wrong..

When I try to use 7.1, then the screen is gray but I have audio..

When I try to use 9.0, then is simply cannot connect.. I'm using a firewall and I'm behind a router.. But when I remove the firewall and connect straight to the modem (without router), it still doesnt connect..

Now I'm not sure, but I think the issue with 7.1 when started after I used one of those spyware decteting progs and deleted all the spyware that was ok to delete...

ie: I cant play WMP video on launch.com, or vidnet.com, or bustarhymes.com... you get the idea..

Can anyone help?!
*either with the gray screen in 7.1..
*or the cannont connect in 9.0..
