Winword.exe Error When Opening Word2000

I have just encountered a problem with my word2k. I am no longer able to USE it. When I hit the "File" button I get the Winword.exe error and word shuts down. I figured that I would uninstall and install again. But, jokes on me...It will not allow me to uninstall. Please Help!!!

Try starting a new post with a little more information. Are you set with Administrative priveleges? What error message do you get when you try to Uninstall? Have you tried to Repair the Office installation? Do any other Office products work? Does Word work for another user on the system??????
