I have seen winword crash on 3 laptops under the same conditions. It would crash when a user is not connected to the network and tries to open a word document. No, there are no enbedded links in the document.

Did you install the Office 2K service pack? If so, I had the same problems and just had to reinstall.

It's the printer driver....A couple of things here to check. Try changing the default printer to fax or something simple. which should fix the problem. Also, what OS does the print server have? If the print server isn't using NT server or 2K server, that can cause the problem as well. As far as reinstalling.....should temporarily fix the problem, but the problem will probably just come back to you later.
