Hi,
I have WinNT server 4.0 and have created ntconfig.pol for one user to log on to WIN2k server. This policy is saved on repl\scripts\imp....
When that user logs on to win2k workstion it does not read that ntconfig.pol. In othere words, ntconfig.pol is not working on win2k workstation. However, it works just fine for any othere NT workstation.

K, lemme get this straight, you setup NTconfig.pol on your NT 4.0 server so that a user who logs into a W2K server will be affected? So the W2K server is part of your NT 4.0 domain? Like it's a big workstation essentially?
I'm a little muddled I guess. Sorry. And just FYI... W2K uses Group Policies.

lucid,
you are correct. Fruthermore, I know that W2k uses Group policies but the Server is not W2k. For some reason w2k workstation user is not getting effected by the policy that resides on NT Server.

Correct. It won't. Policies in NT 4 are completely different than policies in 2K.
I don't have more details to tell you, but as I've said here many times, support.microsoft.com should have more info for you.
