I have a recurring error with the winmgmt.exe saying it has generated errors and needs to be restarted. I have tried all posted remedies (i.e. changing registry start value to 3 and clearadap and the other one listed on the same page) but to no avail. I was wondering if anyone knew other ways to fix the problem and why it happens. What exactly does winmgmt.exe do? I am running Windows 2000 sp1 with as many updates as possible. Any suggestions are of great help. Thanks.
