Hi, on one of my win2k professional machine i get winmgmt.exe error very frequently. in the event viewer i saw an Error, Event ID 7031 saying The Windows Management Instrumentation Service terminated unexpectedly. I've tried winmgmt /clearadap and checked eventid.net site also. kindly help regards rajiv

I am having the same problem too. Did you find a solution. I tryed downloading the most recent windows update to see if that would correct problem. Also getting Windows Event ID 10010 DCOM
