I installed Win2000 on set of Dell Optiplex workstations with a ZIP 100 drive. When network users log on with a roaming profile, it gives winlogon.exe error message that says: "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert disk into drive\device\harddisk1\DR1". The dialog window also gives the options to cancel or continue. Either of them allows the user to finally use the computer without problems.
However, if the user had a profile local to that machine (i.e., my manager account) the error message does not appear.
Although the problem is not critical it is annoying. Any ideas how to get rid of it?

Please do this :
Delete one users from the active directory, force full sync in the DCs.
Create a new user, and check if it have the same problem - if the problem occur, try to add this user to local power user/admin group.
Also - check the OU/Domain policy & NTFS permission for the user.

I wonder if this even has anything to do with the roaming profiles. My computer does it too and it only uses local profiles. Also, there are only a couple accounts that don't do it. The administrators. Anything under that gets the error message. What is this caused by and how can i get rid of the error.
