CPU/Ram: 1800 XP 256mbram

from previous post, Win2K Not Completing Boot, i have now found in task manager that winlogon.exe is using 100% of the CPU and not allowing it to boot up completely.
any ideas on how to get to final boot up to run virus and spy/adaware scans??

Hi,
probably you have malware, spyware
affecting your system performance.
Try to eliminate processes in the
task bar to facilitate windows logon.
Try to boot in safe mode, and pass
addaware ...

it can be blaster virus. download its removal tool from symantec's website and run it on ur machine in "safe mode with networking" mode. dont forget to install sp4 and run windows update.
