Recently after I have been on the internet, I have noticed that avout 2.5Gb of files appears in the 'sys32' folder. They are application or screensaver files. I delete the folder, then next time the files are back. What's up doc?

did you check for viruses?
do you have a firewall?..if not get Zone
Alarm (free for personal use) and allow
internet explorer and your mail program
get access to the web and take note of
what other programs pretend to gain
access to the web, may be you've got an
adware.

I had the same problem and even when I was probably infected by several different spyware, I believe this was caused by openme.exe.

1) either in system.ini or in the reg.database you have this entry "shell= explorer.exe open.exe" remove the "open.exe" part and remove all other references to openme.exe from the reg.database.

2) also I had to remove "explorer.scr" from the boot menu (via msconfig).
