Hi to All,

This was posted by ccfrank on Aug 15,2005 and is my problem also -

"The problem is starting last night i noticed that the little globe icon in the taskbat for windows update was on stating that updates were ready to install. I clicked okay to install the update. The window comes up with an installation progress bar and it goes thru the process and says completed.
Then... within a few seconds the same icon comes up again.. with the exact same update to install.. I go thru the same process again and again. It always stated that the installation was sucessful.

I tried with a manual windows update and it comesup with the same update (something about a cumulative update for outlook express) .... installed the same update again! still the little torquoise icon reappears! I have disabbled automatic updates. No success! Did a sfc /scannow with no success. Any suggestions?"

I have done all the above and searched without luck. ( #KB832894 - the update does not install)

Can anyone help fix this.????

Thanks,

lucky1

Hi Razor 2.3 - - - - -

Thanks for the lead, it enabled me to check more options.

The KB910339 was for XP, I'm using win2000, but reinstalling IE sp1 and then reinstalling KB832894 fixed the problem.

Thank's, I was going bonkers on this one.
