hi, everytime i go to windows update, it hangs without fail. This is so frustrating. It happens on random links too. Some work some dont. It hangs and never seems to fix, so i have to shutdown my computer incorrectly. Any help would be appriciated
Im using I.E 5.5

Since they chaged the way updating long time ago, I get same problem often.

Go into the Add&Remove Software window and uninstall Internet Explorer add-ons. Then go to the Update site. It should try to find an update for the broken browser.

hey thanks for the quick replys, unfortunately i dont have an option for unistalling internet explorer add-ons. Do you have any other suggestions? thankyou

go to www.microsoft.com/ie and update your internet explorer from there manually.After that, windowsupdate should work again.
