There was an earlier message from Ste that I replied to, mentioning a "repair util" available from the w2k cd that will correct explorer.exe errors without reinstallation. I am in dire need of this information. If Ste or anyone else can provide me with the details of where to locate and how to use this utility it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

It's an installation feature off the CD, instead of installing it will just go through and change files that have changed (the ones that shouldn't normally be changed). Just boot from the CD and look for a Repair feature (make sure you don't accidently install the OS again).....

Another method would be to run SFC and reboot, this will scan and detect any changes to these files. I would try this before going to the repair utility, but it doesn't hurt to try either way.
