Does anyone know where I might be able to find a free plugin to allow Windows Media Player 9 running in Windows 2000 to rip CD audio to MP3? The only option currently is WMA, which I don't like, and the only plugins I've found are not available for free.

Use dBpwerAMP Converter instead. Free, easy to use, and lots more goodies on the site too.
