I will soon be installing Windows 2000 on an old laptop. I was wondering, however, does Windows Live Messenger run on Windows 2000? Or would I have to use the old 7.5 version of MSN Messenger?

Thanks,

Alex

Ah ha, thanks for that. I think I've seen those before hence I wondered whether it would go on 2000. Would anyone happen to know of any workarounds to that, seeing as 2000 and XP are very similar?

Nope. You need XP for the new Live Messenger.
