Hi, I am trying to install some security patches for windows 2000 and offices 2000 on my PC, but I get the message that the windows installer on my PC is too old, so I downloaded windows installer 2.0 for win 2000, I installed it and now when I try to install the patches, the message is: could not find the expected version. What does this mean and what should I do? Thank you.

You need to to the microsoft site and download and install service pack 4. This is a big file and is not advised for slow dial-up users. This service pack have most updates and security patches. You should activate Windows Update Manager. this automatically updates your system as specified
