Since I installed Office 2000, a Windows Installer message box pops up everytime I start any office product. The program is already installed, but this box still continues to pop up and a status bar scrolls on it as if it was installing Office. What could I do to fix this???

When you did the install, did you select the option to install items on first use? If so, you will continue to see this dialog box. I'd recommend you uninstall, and then do a custom install, installing the features to the local drive...rather than "install on first use" option.

I had the same problem on two computers! One was Win2K pro and one ME. I had Office running smoothly for a year or so and suddenly it starts to run Office setup and needs the cd rom. I don't know what was going on! Can't be a virus, I think, cause I have Norton Antivirus running.

Is a different user logging in? The office 2000 install stores files in the user's local profile. If office was installed under a specific user and not copied to the default user profile, Office wants to recreate those files.
