Comment: I am constantly receiving a Windows Security Center warning message after installing WMP 9.0 stating that Windows Firewall detected suspicious netwok activity etc...Do I want to download certified software and protect my computer." I do not have Windows Fiirewall. I thought that pertained to XP. How can I get rid of this annoying message? I shutdown the messenger service to no avail. I have answered no every time. I would like to stop this annoying message and determine if installing WMP 9.0 for win2k caused this. (I'm pretty sure it did) Thanks in advance for any assistance. JB <>

Reply: (edit)There's a setting in WMP that says 'connect to the internet' Try unchecking the box for this option. Sounds like you got popups coming up on your sys. When you get a popup, DONT CLICK yes OR no...just close the window. Some of those popups will install something onto your PC, no matter which response you click on.
