Windows file protection error

OS: win2k prof SP4
CPU/Ram: xp1600, 512ram

Hello, got a problem guys.

Installed SP4, now im trying to isntall Office 2000 but Im getting the following errors.

Windows file protection

Windows files must be installed for your installation to proceed.

Insert your service pack 4 CD now.

Retry more information cancel

I dont have the sp4 cd I downloaded the latest sp off the net.

Im kinda desperate to get office2k running because Ive got my famaily breathing down my neck to use it.

any help would really be appreciated.

Have you tried putting your regular windows 2000 disk in and going from that?
