Windows File Protection - again!

The problem with Window File Protection as explained here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;296241 is mentioned by many people. However replacing the certificate as per the instructions does not fix my problem. (according to MS it does not matter that the cert is expired, this is for backwards compatibility)
We have had 2 machines in our org show these problems in the last 2 days. Anyone have any suggestions?

Our company has also had several machines with these symptoms. 4 Critical Microsoft patches were released on the 10th, the day these errors began. The two MUST be related. If anyone can track down the exact cause and fix, please let us know.

Found a fix that worked for me! Try this for 2000 or XP. Basically it's just a batch file that reregisters the dll's associated with cryptographic services. Try it out and report your results!

This worked for me as well. We were unable to update our virus protection software, so this has proved to be a real boon. Kudos to whomever built it!
