Windows and Excel Problems - WEIRD

Comment:
I have recently applied a ghosted image of a WIn2K install on a FAT32 partition.
The ghost file was checked for integity and no problems were reported.
Problem 1: Excel is automatically highlighting everything the mouse trails over. We have uninstalled and reinstalled Excel and Office ... no luck.
Problem 2: Cannot Drag and Drop anything from Folder to Folder or Drive to Drive. Nothign happens. Right clicking and using Copy and Paste does work though.
Problem 3: Desktop icons won't move. They can be scattered on the desktop but cannot be rearranged unless I use auto arrange. But even if I turn auto arrange off, the icons won't move from the original position. This is not to be confused with what happens when auto arrange is on and you try to move an icon, and you see it'snap' back into place.

Yes this sounds familiar. Did you delete the drivers before ghosting, if not and the hardware is different you will have all sorts of strange experiences. In this case it sounds like the video driver to me. Try deleting all the drivers and rebooting.

That's a good idea and we did that just in case, but nothing has changed in the slightest. We were having problems as well where we log in and nothing responded to mouse clicks unless we brought up the Task Manager and then cancelled it, or even END TASKED Explorer and started it again as a new task, but removing all drivers and redetecting seemed to work.
This computer is possessed! Any other help would be appreciated.

Resolved problem 1 and others. It seems as well by the weirdest thing. Cliking the MIDDLE mouse button. *Eeeerie Music Fades in and out*
