Hi
I have a Wind 2k Professional desktop with sp4 and latest updates, connected to a domain.
The domain user through which the user log into the system has the administrative rights.
Still in this user profile, the Sharing option is not coming if i right click on any folder.
When i right click on any disk drives, the sharing tab is not there.
Can anyone help?regards
Suriya

Is File and Print sharing checked in Network Connections?
Life is more painless for those who are brainless.

Everyone has to be in the sharing mood! Not sure who can share or see who. W2K computer could be named Computer1 and the domain computer could be named Computer2.
On Computer1 (Windows 2000 machine), do the following:
Start\Settings\Control Panel\Network and Dial-up Connections\Local Area Connections\then right click\Properties. My computer has Client for Microsoft Networks, File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks, and NetBEUI Protocol checked. The File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks allows other computers to access resources on your computer using Microsoft Networks. The NetBEUI Protocol is used mainly for small local networks.
On your desktop, open My Computer, right click your “C” Drive (or any drive that you want to share)\Properties\Sharing tab, then Click on the button “Share this Folder.”
