Comment: what does this mean? the following file is missing or corrupt. please reinstall. windows 2000>\system32\ntoskrnl.exe and then i get a blue and white screen saying IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL It reboots on its own often... and that's when I get the errors. Ah, it just rebooted just now for the 3rd time in 15 minutes.

Reply: (edit)ntoskrnl.exe is the main file that loads win2k and must have become corrupted. Use your win2k cd to repair the installation.

Reply: (edit)Often the ntoskrnl.exe missing or corrupt actually means the boot.ini file is corrupt. Try reinstalling the boot.ini (from another similar machine if possible) through recovery console. This worked for me.
