Hi
My computer have worked without problems until yesterday, when I turned it on it loads the first process bar and just before it's going into graphical mode it stops loading.
Tried rebooting, stops at same place
Tried changeing gfx-card, replacing memory, started without sound and network card. Same problem. Repaired the installation from my Win2k CD, same problem again.Question: What do you think is wrong, I'm thinking about the processor but I dont have a spare one to try that :(
And when starting the computer from a startdisc, how do I get access to other harddrives then c:?? I want to take backup if I have to format c:

Thoughts:
Did you try Safe Mode?
Could be an error on the hard disk - run an eror check.
May be a loose connection between the HDD abd processor - check all connectors, ribbon cables etc.
Reseat your processor.
Check your BIOS settings in case the battery has run down and changed something.

If your computer in FAT there is no problem, just make a boot disk, and type in DOS "C:" the backup yoir files with a ZIP Drive or something or thy to find a CD-R Software for DOS or just get another borrowed disk, if is NTFS you'll need to install the OS with NTFS partition system, and then do the backup process in that disk
