I just tried to upgrade to windows 2000 and during the install it asked for a reboot and said somethign about changing the boot record so what I did was restarted and now it wont boot up to the C: drive. It wont even recognize. I tried doing the scanreg /restore and that wont work because it cant find anything to restore from. Please help!!!!! This is a doctor's computer and I cant lose these files
I already tried the sys.com C: thing and it didnt work. What I tried to do was create a new partition in the free space and then tried to install windows into that partition to see if I could see the files on the other partition and it didnt work. It seems that I cant get to that partition through dos, windows, fdisk recognizes it as a Non-DOS partition but not NTFS. I have tried the fixboot and fixmbr commands in the windows recovery console, nothing is working. If you have any information, please help. THank you
