I think this is wording problem. My knowledge about OS X is basic so I don't know the proper wording to describe my problem.

I am on windows 2000 pro at my home. A friend has set up a hard drive on his mac of his computer at his office to be accessable via the internet(i don't know how). He say that with the IP addess, user name and password he gave me I should be able to connect to him. He said this can be done by connecting through Network neighbour hood. I have tried but can't figure it out. I have also tried FTP and HTTP and got nothing.

Does anyone know how to connect to a OS X server(I think it is a server) from a windows 2000 system. I can only find information about connecting a mac to a pc - which is not what I want.

Thanks

Some of it will depend on how he has things set up on his Mac, so first try this: Connect to the Internet and in the address bar type the IP address without enetering http, or ftp, or anything. just "//217.12.127.8" without the quotes, and then press the Enter key. If it returns a window, enter the username and password he gave you....
