I was wondering if there is a way to hide the programs folder from start menu. I want uses to be able to acess what they need off their desktops only.I was able to hide everything else except for programs folder and documents folder through modifying the registry settings. Really could use any help on this. Our uses like to play with different things and we really need to put a stop to this.

Yes this can be done in a local policy or a group policy if you have Active Directory insalled, go to the policy editor then User Cconfiguration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Start Menu & Taskbar, in there are all the policy's you can enable, one of them is to remove the programs view.
Hope this helps.
