I'm a programmer being pressed into network admin work by circumstances. I'm trying to hook up an office or 20-30 machines on an internal network with a dedicated server machine running Backoffice 2000 server.
Currently there are 2 machines hooked up to the server. The first works fine, even can get internet through the ISA Server. The second does not work. I can ping the IP for this computer, but something such as "net view IP" does not work. Nor can I "see" the computer using IE or anything like that. The computer itself thinks it's LAN connection is working fine at 100 Mbs, but it sends nor receives any packets, and can't see anyone on the Network. The computer's accounts are set up identically to the working client's in the Active Directory and such.
